The Finish Line
May 30, 2017
The finish line is in sight for the completion of West Allen Parish Water District's USDA Upgrade Project. It's been a long process with many triumphs and many trials, but we are pleased that the construction is nearly complete. I would personally like to thank each of you who exhibited extreme patience with us as we have undergone some much needed improvements to our water district. As with any aging infrastructure, the work that was performed was necessary in order to continue to provide the customer's of West Allen Parish Water District with top quality water service. We look forward to the future and hope that you will join us in appreciating and protecting this valuable resource. The deadline for completion is June 29, 2017 and we plan to hold a ribbon cutting ceremony shortly thereafter to initiate the new control facilities and mark the end of the project. More information concerning that event will be provided at a later date.
Along with a the completion of the USDA Upgrade Project, there is one other finality that I would like to announce. My resignation as General Manager. Neil Moreau will assume the role of General Manager as of June 26, 2017, and I will return to performing a single role within the district, as Office Manager of West Allen Parish Water District. It has been my pleasure to see this project to completion and do my best to protect the citizens of this community throughout it's duration. I feel that I have performed my duties beyond reproach, however, running a water district inside and out is a strenous and stressful job and I feel I must resign one of the positions. Thankyou for your support and prayers during my time as General Manager and be assured that I will continue to perform my duties as Office Manager to the best of my abilities.
Amy Holland, General Manager
