Lobby Closure

WEST ALLEN PARISH WATER DISTRICT ~LOBBY CLOSURE as of March 23, 2020

WEST ALLEN PARISH WATER DISTRICT has determined that, in the best interest and safety of the public and our employees, to close the lobby to the public as of today March 23, 2020.  There are several alternatives to pay your water bill and to take care of business.  Payment options include the two drop boxes available at our office and the one located inside the the Topsy store located in Topsy, La.  There is also the U.S. Postal Service, over the phone payments with a debit/credit card (337-749-2589) and online at our website westallenwater.myruralwater.com.

All service forms are available online and we can initiate services via email, fax and over the phone payments.  (Note:  there is a fee charged by the credit card processors to use a credit/debit card:  4% for over the phone payments and 2.8% on the website.)

West Allen Water will continue to treat and distribute water to you throughout this public health crisis. People give little thought to the fact that we do this every day rain, shine or pandemic.  Our water operators work 24 hours a day to make sure you have safe water and that fact will not change. Please be aware that COVID-19 Coronavirus does not live in the water you drink. The treatment of your water with chlorine is a standard and level set by the EPA and the La. Dept. of Health. It is safe to drink and very affordable. We at West Allen Water suggest that if you want to "stock up" (hoard) something, bottled water is not spending your money wisely because the water from your tap is safe and much cheaper than bottled water.

Keep in mind that our field personnel will be on call to handle any emergency as always, however, there will be NO personal interaction between customers and our staff for your safety as well as theirs. If you have a water emergency, call the office, if someone is not there, the answering machine will contain the numbers of the operators on call.

Reminder:  The March 2020 lockout date has been suspended and the $40 late assessment fee waived, but the bill will be due along with your next bill by April 15, 2020.

If you have any questions regarding this notification, please call our office during business hours at 337-749-2589.
