DELINQUENT AND LOCKBOX POLICY

Note Delinquent and Lockbox Policy Effective June 9, 2026!  Bill is due at 11:59 p.m on the 15th of each month.  10% Penalty is applied automatically at 12:01 a.m., on the 16th of each month.  No delinquent Notice will be mailed!   Our staff will check the office and Topsy dropboxes the following work morning after the 15th.  If payment is present, it will be assumed that payment was made before midnight and late charge will be waived.  Weekend handling:  if the 15th is Saturday, the following Monday morning counts under the same assumption as above.  Failure to receive a bill does not exempt customer from monthly payments, late charges, or disconnection.

Late assessment fees are also applied at 12:01 a.m., the morning of scheduled lockouts.  Topsy drop box will be locked at 4:00 p.m., the day before lockout and payments are directed to the lockbox outside WAPWD office in Reeves.  Staff will check the office drop box the next work morning and if payment is present, it will be assumed that payment was made before midnight and late assessment fee will be waived.
